Sephora has their sale with 10%-15% OFF EVERYTHING going on right now (with code “HEYVIB” or “HEYINSIDER” depending on your status plus it’s free to join if you’re new). It’s a perfect time to upgrade your office beauty routine, just because it’s work doesn’t mean it has to be boring! We are sharing our everyday favorites that we wear to the office regularly. Work makeup and hair is a major part of our lives and many of our readers, so here are the items we have been using for years and highly recommend!
NARS Blush: This blush has been a best seller for years. It’s luminescent pink is universally flattering. This has been in our make-up bags for a long time now! It’s perfect for work with a light application and great for going out as well.
Tarte BB Tinted Moisturizer: A long time staple for every day coverage that is oil free and light. It looks professional at the office while still not heavy enough to cause breakouts. Not to mention it is PERFECT for these upcoming hotter months for light coverage and built in SPF.
Naked 2 Basics Mini: This miniature eye palette is at a great price point and travels well for work. It has shades that are long wearing and ideal for every day looks. If you want a smokey eye for date night just use the last shade in the outer crease of your eye.
Laura Mercier Setting Powder: A translucent setting powder that helps your makeup stay in place all day. This lasts forever in the regular size and they also make a mini that is still plenty!
They’re Real Mascara: Lash extending mascara that coats each individual lash with it’s brush is one that keeps us coming back for it year after year!
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara: A new favorite that is voluminous and dramatically dark. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for something new! Bobbi Brown’s entire line is fantastic if you haven’t checked it out.
Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo: The Queen Bee of dry shampoos is A.MAZ.ING. It works beyond well to keep hair looking good on the job (even without a wash in a few days). The smell is fresh without being overpowering like some dry shampoos. It’s clutch for spritzing after a workout and livening-up hair after travel.
Hoola Bronzer: Another long-time favorite that has been in our makeup bag for over a decade (…not that we are THAT old). This bronzer is hands down the best on the market though! It can be swiped for a hint of subtle bronze or built up for a summer tan. It finishes matte rather than shiny, so it looks great in the office if you want a hint of color. Benefit Cosmetics really outdid themselves with this cult favorite!
YSL Liquid Matte Lip Stain: Not to play favorites but this might be the item picked from the Sephora Sale if there could only be one. This is an insanely comfortable lip stain that melts into your lips and you forget you’re wearing it! Long lasting and water resistant make it ideal for swiping on before work then forgetting about it until you get home when it’s still there. Jacki loves the shades Rosewood Gang (5) and Carlin Statement (10) and Abby wears Rose Ink (3).
Abby’s Top Picks
Clinique Moisture Gel: The perfect non-oily moisture for every day skin. It keeps my face and neck hydrated while acting as a primer for my foundation. This has been a staple for me for over ten years!
Sugar Fresh Lip: I can’t stand the feeling of dried out lipstick. This is a hydrating balm that acts as a stain as well. You get subtle color plus a comfortable all day wear in this beauty blogger favored product. Bloom is a pretty berry color that makes for a polished corporate look.
Kate Sommerville Exfolikate: A mini facial that I use in the shower once a week! Who has the time or money to get spa facials during a full work week?! The gritty texture smooths away dead skin and resurfaces your complexion in two minutes. If you’re not sure, try this mini size that is linked. Bonus, it’s easier to travel with for work!
Origins Ginzing Eye Cream: I keep coming back to this product because it brightens and depuffs sooo well. Late night at the office? Allergies? Instant help comes in this eye cream for your work day.
Clinique Even Better: This foundation is my GO-TO for every day at the office. It provides enough coverage but it is not too heavy. Also, it contains SPF for your skin! It’s worked for me since I was old enough to wear make-up, Clinique lifer right here!
IGK First Class Dry Shampoo: This dry shampoo smells beyond amazing and brings back day old hair to life! Seeing is believing, try this stuff and you won’t be sorry. The mini size is a great way to try it without such a commitment, plus it stows away in your suitcase nicely!
Big Sexy Hair Spray: Favorite hairspray for daily work or going out on the weekend. It keeps my lawyer bun fly-aways in place and amps up the volume for date night. Year after year I keep coming back to this staple.
Supergoop Setting Powder: This 45 SPF powder works to set your makeup or can be used alone to provide lightweight foundation. When the summer months come this is what I reach for daily! It’s 100% mineral sunscreen to better protect your skin and sweat resistant. A Sephora sales associate suggested this to me last year and it was my best purchase of the summer!
YSL 48 Hour Concealer: I have tried almost every concealer known to man, dark circles are my thing. This is my ALL TIME BEST answer to bags under the eyes! It’s a bit on the spendy side but mine lasts for almost a year. It is a comfortable, non-tacky concealer that blends into the skin beautifully!
Kat Von D Tatoo Liner: This is a cult classic for a reason. If you want an easy to apply liner that can do a simple line or elaborate cat-eye this is for you! I use it for work days and evenings out. It lasts all day and is easy to apply in a hurry!
