Easy Travel Outfit Ideas & Tips
1. Layers, layers, layers: A drafty airplane window or a sun-drenched backseat will make you thankful for layers. Lightweight, cotton tee shirts make a great base layer, obsessed with this longhorn one (must be the Nebraska in me). I always travel with a large scarf that can double as a blanket or a jacket that can easily be used as a pillow. Jean jackets are appearing yet again this spring so this perfectly-priced Old Navy one will be going with me to visit Jack in Seattle this weekend!
2. Comfy Flats: Although heels always make us short gals look great, they are not ideal for travel (blister city). I have used these Steve Madden sneakers for years when traveling! Here are a few other ideas for comfy yet stylish travel flats: espadrille here, mule here, and loafer here.
3. Colorful Luggage Tag: I would love a pink suitcase...but that being said I need one that is versatile for work and play. Black suitcases are the majority at the airport so how do you easily identify yours on the luggage claim? An easy way is to find a colorful tag like the one above, to attach that will make it stand out and difficult for other people to mistakenly grab. I also love this one!
