Alright guys, it's official, we are in the wedding week countdown!! My family came in town last Friday and we've been in go-mode ever since, finishing up the last DIYs for the wedding. One of our final projects was completing our outdoor Giant Jenga game so I thought I would share a few tips:
- 54 blocks (we purchased seven 8ft 2x4s at Home Depot, having them cut down to 10.5" pieces to make the perfect square)
- TIP: make sure the boards are straight (there were quite a few that had slight bends to them) and don't have too many gouges
- Coarse sand paper (we used 60 grit)
- Side table to set the game up on (you don't want people to have to be on their knees to play!)
Sand all the pieces down and leave some of the dust on them, it will make them slide a bit easier when you play!
We had plans to make Corn Hole as well but ended up running out of time and purchased a set on StyleMyCornToss on Etsy instead. I'm so happy that we did! They turned out way cuter than we could have made them.
We have a pretty small outdoor space at our venue but I'm excited to have some fun games to play out there, especially since our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the same place so people will be there for quite a while. Bonus: we can use these games again in the future when we finally have a yard! A girl can dream anyway :) Thanks for Clocking Out with us!
